WIP: Granny Stripe Mayhem

I'd like to share one of my several works in progress. After drooling over many beautiful images of granny stripe blankets all over flickr Flickr and Ravelry, I have decided to make my very own granny stripe blanket.

I am using the pattern provided by the fabulous and very talented Lucy of Attic24. Her creative work and blog have greatly inspired me.

When I began this blanket, I didn't count out my chains. I just chained roughly one million times and went from there. This blanket is incredibly long. It's already large enough for me to sleep under.

Catching the last bit of decent sunlight for shooting my photos!

I'm greatly enjoying this project.Granny stripes are a great pattern for times when you don't want to count or concentrate too much on a pattern. You just work out of the space of the previous row-three double crochet, three double crochet, three double crochet...in a nice and continuous rhythm.

With that, I will conclude my first post in my new blog. I hope there are many more posts to come!
